Article L173-17-1 of the French Insurance Code

The insurance of transported goods has no effect when the risks have not begun within two months of the commitment of the parties or of the date fixed for taking over.

This provision is only applicable to policies operating by declaration of foodstuffs for the first foodstuff.

L’assurance des marchandises transportées ne produit aucun effet lorsque les risques n’ont pas commencé dans les deux mois de l’engagement des parties ou de la date qui a été fixée pour prise en charge.

Cette disposition n’est applicable aux polices fonctionnant par déclaration d’aliment que pour le premier aliment.
