Article L212-14 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Without prejudice to the provisions of the Construction and Housing Code applicable to establishments open to the public, the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (National Centre for Cinema and Moving Images) approves cinematographic entertainment establishments operated under the conditions set out in the provisions of articles L. 212-2 to L. 212-5, in respect of each of their cinemas and the technical equipment in those cinemas.

Approval is subject to compliance with the technical specifications determined in application of article L. 212-17.

Sans préjudice des dispositions du code de la construction et de l’habitation applicables aux établissements recevant du public, le président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée homologue les établissements de spectacles cinématographiques exploités dans les conditions prévues par les dispositions des articles L. 212-2 à L. 212-5, au titre de chacune de leurs salles et des équipements techniques de celles-ci.

L’homologation est subordonnée au respect des spécifications techniques déterminées en application de l’article L. 212-17.
