Article L212-15 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Authorisation to open a cinema to the public may not be granted until approval has been obtained.

Any substantial change to the characteristics described in the application for approval, affecting a cinema or its technical equipment, requires the issue of an amending approval.

L’autorisation d’ouverture au public d’un établissement de spectacles cinématographiques ne peut intervenir avant l’obtention de l’homologation.

Toute modification substantielle par rapport aux caractéristiques décrites dans le dossier de demande d’homologation, affectant une salle ou ses équipements techniques, nécessite la délivrance d’une homologation modificative.
