Article L2121-11 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

In municipalities with fewer than 3,500 inhabitants, notice of the meeting is sent at least three clear days before the day of the meeting.

In urgent cases, the time limit may be shortened by the mayor, but may not be less than one clear day. The mayor reports on this at the start of the meeting to the municipal council, which decides on the urgency and may decide to defer all or part of the discussion to the agenda of a later meeting.

Article L2121-11
