Article L2145-2 of the French Labour Code

The training of employees called upon to exercise trade union responsibilities, in particular within economic and social bodies, and of members of a trade union organisation called upon to intervene on behalf of employees may be provided :

1° Either by specialised centres directly attached to representative trade union organisations;

2° or by institutes within universities.

However, organisations whose specialisation, in whole or in part, is provided in agreement with trade union organisations may participate in the training of employees called upon to exercise trade union responsibilities and of members of a trade union organisation called upon to intervene on behalf of employees. In order to benefit from the provisions of article L. 2145-3, these bodies must have received approval from the Minister responsible for labour.

Article L2145-2

La formation des salariés appelés à exercer des responsabilités syndicales, notamment au sein d’organismes de caractère économique et social, et des adhérents à une organisation syndicale amenés à intervenir en faveur des salariés peut être assurée :

1° Soit par des centres spécialisés, directement rattachés aux organisations syndicales représentatives ;

2° Soit par des instituts internes aux universités.

Toutefois, des organismes dont la spécialisation totale ou partielle serait assurée en accord avec des organisations syndicales peuvent participer à la formation des salariés appelés à exercer des responsabilités syndicales et des adhérents à une organisation syndicale amenés à intervenir en faveur des salariés. Pour bénéficier des dispositions de l’article L. 2145-3, ces organismes doivent avoir reçu l’agrément du ministre chargé du travail.
