Article L221-2-1 of the French Sports Code

Inclusion on the list of top-level athletes mentioned in the first paragraph of article L. 221-2 is subject to the conclusion of an agreement between the federation and the athlete.

This agreement sets out the rights and obligations of the athlete and the federation in terms of training and socio-professional support, competitive practice, medical monitoring, compliance with the rules of sporting ethics and image rights.

A decree sets out the content of the agreement referred to in this article.

Article L221-2-1

L’inscription sur la liste des sportifs de haut niveau mentionnée au premier alinéa de l’article L. 221-2 est subordonnée à la conclusion d’une convention entre la fédération et le sportif.

Cette convention détermine les droits et obligations du sportif et de la fédération en matière de formation et d’accompagnement socioprofessionnel, de pratique compétitive, de suivi médical, de respect des règles d’éthique sportive et de droit à l’image.

Un décret fixe le contenu de la convention mentionnée au présent article.
