Article L2213-20 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The mayor may, with the assent of the town council and after consulting the presidents of the wine-growing groups existing in the commune, set the date from which the harvesting of table grapes and grape harvests is authorised on the territory of the commune.

Different dates may be set according to the grape varieties and the location of the vineyards.

Le maire peut, sur l’avis conforme du conseil municipal et après avoir consulté les présidents des groupements viticoles existant dans la commune, fixer la date à partir de laquelle la récolte des raisins de table et de vendanges est autorisée sur le territoire de la commune.

Des dates différentes peuvent être prévues selon l’encépagement et la situation des vignobles.
