Article L2223-14 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Municipalities may, but are not obliged to institute all of the categories listed below, grant in their cemeteries:

1° Temporary concessions for a maximum of fifteen years;

2° Thirty-year concessions;

3° Fifty-year concessions;

4° Perpetual concessions.

Les communes peuvent, sans toutefois être tenues d’instituer l’ensemble des catégories ci-après énumérées, accorder dans leurs cimetières :

4° Des concessions perpétuelles.
