Article L2232-2 of the French Labour Code

The validity of a cross-industry agreement is subject to its signature by one or more representative employee trade union organisations that have received, in the elections taken into account for the measurement of the audience provided for in 3° of article L. 2122-9, at least 30% of the votes cast in favour of organisations recognised as representative at this level, whatever the number of voters, and in the absence of opposition from one or more representative employee trade union organisations having received the majority of the votes cast in favour of the same organisations at these same elections, whatever the number of voters.

Opposition is expressed within a period of fifteen days from the date of notification of this agreement, under the conditions provided for in article L. 2231-8.

Article L2232-2

La validité d’un accord interprofessionnel est subordonnée à sa signature par une ou plusieurs organisations syndicales de salariés représentatives ayant recueilli, aux élections prises en compte pour la mesure de l’audience prévue au 3° de l’article L. 2122-9, au moins 30 % des suffrages exprimés en faveur d’organisations reconnues représentatives à ce niveau, quel que soit le nombre de votants, et à l’absence d’opposition d’une ou plusieurs organisations syndicales de salariés représentatives ayant recueilli la majorité des suffrages exprimés en faveur des mêmes organisations à ces mêmes élections, quel que soit le nombre de votants.

L’opposition est exprimée dans un délai de quinze jours à compter de la date de notification de cet accord, dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 2231-8.
