Article L2241-2 of the French Labour Code

The organisations bound by a branch agreement or, failing that, by professional agreements open negotiations on the organisation of part-time work when at least one third of the workforce in the professional branch holds a part-time job. These negotiations shall cover, in particular, the minimum weekly or monthly working hours, the number and length of periods of interruption of work, the period of notice to be given before changing working hours and the remuneration of overtime work.

Les organisations liées par une convention de branche ou, à défaut, par des accords professionnels ouvrent une négociation sur les modalités d’organisation du temps partiel dès lors qu’au moins un tiers de l’effectif de la branche professionnelle occupe un emploi à temps partiel. Cette négociation porte notamment sur la durée minimale d’activité hebdomadaire ou mensuelle, le nombre et la durée des périodes d’interruption d’activité, le délai de prévenance préalable à la modification des horaires et la rémunération des heures complémentaires.
