Article L2261-5 of the French Labour Code

If the purpose of accession is to make the branch agreement or the professional or interprofessional agreement applicable in a territorial or professional sector not included in its scope, it must take the form of a collective agreement between the interested parties in accordance with the provisions of article L. 2231-1 and the signatory parties of this agreement or this agreement. The scope is modified accordingly.

Si l’adhésion a pour objet de rendre la convention de branche ou l’accord professionnel ou interprofessionnel applicable dans un secteur territorial ou professionnel non compris dans son champ d’application, elle doit prendre la forme d’un accord collectif entre les parties intéressées conformément aux dispositions de l’article L. 2231-1 et les parties signataires de cette convention ou de cet accord. Le champ d’application en est modifié en conséquence.
