Article L2315-37 of the French Labour Code

In separate undertakings and establishments with fewer than three hundred employees, the labour inspector may require the creation of a health, safety and working conditions committee where this is necessary, in particular due to the nature of the activities, layout or equipment of the premises.

This decision may be challenged before the Regional Director for Business, Competition, Consumer Affairs, Labour and Employment.

Dans les entreprises et établissements distincts de moins de trois cents salariés, l’inspecteur du travail peut imposer la création d’une commission santé, sécurité et conditions de travail lorsque cette mesure est nécessaire, notamment en raison de la nature des activités, de l’agencement ou de l’équipement des locaux.

Cette décision peut être contestée devant le directeur régional des entreprises, de la concurrence, de la consommation, du travail et de l’emploi.
