Any doctor who detects signs suggestive of doping :
1° Must refuse to issue one of the medical certificates defined in articles L. 231-2, L. 231-2-1 and L. 231-2-2;
2° Inform his patient of the risks he is running and offer either to refer him to one of the medical centres mentioned in article L. 232-1, or, in liaison with the latter and depending on what is necessary, to prescribe examinations, treatment or medical follow-up;
3° Mandatorily transmit to the doctor in charge of the medical unit mentioned in article L. 232-1 the findings that he has made and inform his patient of this obligation to transmit. This transmission is covered by medical confidentiality.
