Article L2412-2 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

As an exception to the provisions of the last paragraph of article L. 2411-10, when the needs of the section are met, the municipal council may, by reasoned decision, finance the carrying out of capital works or maintenance operations falling within the competence of the commune for the non-exclusive benefit of the section of the commune by a contribution from the section’s budget.

Article L2412-2

Par dérogation aux dispositions du dernier alinéa de l’article L. 2411-10, lorsque les besoins de la section sont satisfaits, le conseil municipal peut, par délibération motivée, financer la réalisation de travaux d’investissement ou d’opérations d’entretien relevant de la compétence de la commune au bénéfice non exclusif de la section de commune par une contribution du budget de la section.
