Prior to the conclusion of the credit agreement, the creditor or credit intermediary shall provide the borrower, in the form of an information sheet, on paper or on another durable medium, with the information required to compare different offers and enabling the borrower, taking into account his preferences, to clearly apprehend the extent of his commitment.
The list and content of the information to be included in the information sheet for each credit offer and the conditions for its presentation are set by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
This information sheet must include, in legible characters, all the information required for each credit offer.
This sheet shall include, in legible characters, the information specified in Article L. 312-5.
Where the consumer requests the conclusion of a credit agreement at the point of sale, the creditor shall ensure that the information sheet referred to in the first paragraph is provided to the consumer at the point of sale on paper or on any other durable medium.
Where the creditor offers the consumer a credit agreement at the point of sale, the creditor shall ensure that the information sheet referred to in the first paragraph is provided to the consumer at the point of sale on paper or on any other durable medium.
Where the lender offers or requires the borrower to take out insurance, the lender or credit intermediary informs the borrower of the cost of the insurance by bringing to the borrower’s attention the information referred to in Article L. 312-7.
