Article L312-9 of the French Consumer Code

When an advertisement is sent by post or by electronic mail, distributed directly to the home or on the public highway, the document sent to the consumer reminds him in a clear, precise and visible manner of his right to object free of charge to the use of his personal data for canvassing purposes and the procedures for exercising this right.
When this advertising indicates an interest rate or quantified information relating to the cost of credit, the information mentioned in article L. 312-8 appear, in the form of a box, in the header of the advertising text.

Lorsqu’une publicité est adressée par voie postale ou par courrier électronique, distribuée directement à domicile ou sur la voie publique, le document envoyé au consommateur lui rappelle de façon claire, précise et visible son droit de s’opposer sans frais à l’utilisation de ses données personnelles à des fins de prospection ainsi que les modalités d’exercice de ce droit.
Lorsque cette publicité indique un taux d’intérêt ou des informations chiffrées liées au coût du crédit, les informations mentionnées à l’article L. 312-8 figurent, sous forme d’encadré, en en-tête du texte publicitaire.
