Article L313-56 of the French Consumer Code

For lease contracts with a promise to sell, the offer also sets out:
1° The conditions for exercising the option and its cost broken down between, on the one hand, the fraction of the initial payments and rents taken into account for payment of the price and, on the other hand, the residual value of the property, taking into account the impact of any review clauses that may be included in the contract;
2° The conditions and cost of not completing the sale.

Pour les contrats de location assortis d’une promesse de vente, l’offre fixe également :
1° Les conditions de levée de l’option et son coût décomposé entre, d’une part, la fraction des versements initiaux et des loyers prise en compte pour le paiement du prix et, d’autre part, la valeur résiduelle du bien, compte tenu de l’incidence des clauses de révision éventuellement prévues au contrat ;
2° Les conditions et le coût de la non-réalisation de la vente.
