Article L3133-6 of the French Labour Code

In establishments and services which, due to the nature of their activity, cannot interrupt work, employees employed on 1st May are entitled, in addition to the salary corresponding to the work performed, to an indemnity equal to the amount of this salary. This allowance shall be paid by the employer.

Dans les établissements et services qui, en raison de la nature de leur activité, ne peuvent interrompre le travail, les salariés occupés le 1er mai ont droit, en plus du salaire correspondant au travail accompli, à une indemnité égale au montant de ce salaire. Cette indemnité est à la charge de l’employeur.
