Article L3142-42 of the French Labour Code

Where an employee is appointed to sit on an administrative or joint commission, council or committee dealing with employment and training issues, the employer shall allow him the time necessary to attend meetings of these bodies.

The list of these bodies is set by interministerial decree.

When an employee is appointed to take part in a jury for an examination or for the validation of acquired experience, the employer shall grant him leave of absence to take part in this jury.

Lorsqu’un salarié est désigné pour siéger dans une commission, un conseil ou un comité administratif ou paritaire appelé à traiter des problèmes d’emploi et de formation, l’employeur lui accorde le temps nécessaire pour participer aux réunions de ces instances.

La liste de ces instances est fixée par arrêté interministériel.

Lorsqu’un salarié est désigné pour participer à un jury d’examen ou de validation des acquis de l’expérience, l’employeur lui accorde une autorisation d’absence pour participer à ce jury.
