Article L3142-66 of the French Labour Code

In the absence of an agreement concluded in application of article L. 3142-65, the following provisions apply:

1° The maximum total duration of leave is nine working days per year ;

2° The time limit within which the employee must send his request for leave to the employer and the rules for determining, per establishment, the maximum number of employees who may benefit from leave in the course of a year are set by decree.

A défaut de convention ou d’accord conclu en application de l’article L. 3142-65, les dispositions suivantes sont applicables :

1° La durée totale maximale du congé est de neuf jours ouvrables par an ;

2° Le délai dans lequel le salarié adresse sa demande de congé à l’employeur et les règles selon lesquelles est déterminé, par établissement, le nombre maximal de salariés susceptibles de bénéficier du congé au cours d’une année sont fixés par décret.
