Article L323-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The administrative authority may revoke the administrative inadmissibility order at any time. The foreign national may submit a request to lift the measure after a period of one year from its issue. Silence kept for more than four months on the request for lifting shall be deemed a decision to reject.

L’autorité administrative peut à tout moment abroger l’interdiction administrative du territoire. L’étranger peut introduire une demande de levée de la mesure après un délai d’un an à compter de son édiction. Le silence gardé pendant plus de quatre mois sur la demande de levée vaut décision de rejet.
