Article L3336-3 of the French Public Health Code

When the same convictions are handed down against an on-trade operator, they automatically entail a ban on operating an outlet for the same period, from the day on which the said convictions become final. This owner may not be employed, in any capacity whatsoever, in the establishment that he was operating, or in the service of the person to whom he sold or leased the said establishment, or by whom he had the said establishment managed, or in the establishment operated by his spouse, even if separated.

Les mêmes condamnations, lorsqu’elles sont prononcées contre un débitant de boissons à consommer sur place, entraînent de plein droit contre lui et pendant le même délai, l’interdiction d’exploiter un débit, à partir du jour où lesdites condamnations sont devenues définitives. Ce débitant ne peut être employé, à quelque titre que ce soit, dans l’établissement qu’il exploitait, comme au service de celui auquel il a vendu ou loué, ou par qui il fait gérer ledit établissement, ni dans l’établissement qui est exploité par son conjoint même séparé.
