Article L3341-2 of the French Public Health Code

When the person’s detention in a security room is terminated, if the conditions for this measure set out in the Code of Criminal Procedure are met, he or she need not be placed in police custody, as long as he or she is not required to remain at the disposal of the investigators and has been informed of his or her rights as set out in article 61-1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Lorsqu’il est mis fin à la rétention en chambre de sûreté de la personne, son placement en garde à vue, si les conditions de cette mesure prévues par le code de procédure pénale sont réunies, n’est pas obligatoire dès lors qu’elle n’est pas tenue sous la contrainte de demeurer à la disposition des enquêteurs et qu’elle a été informée des droits mentionnés à l’article 61-1 du code de procédure pénale.
