Article L3355-1 of the French Public Health Code

Associations whose statutory purpose includes the fight against alcoholism, which have been duly registered for at least five years on the date of the events, may exercise the rights granted to civil parties for the offences provided for in this Title.

The same rights may be exercised by the consumer associations referred to in article L. 421-1 of the Consumer Code for the offences provided for in Chapter I of this Title, and by the family associations referred to in articles L. 211-1 and L. 211-2 of the Social Action and Family Code for the offences provided for in Chapters I and III of this Title.

Les associations dont l’objet statutaire comporte la lutte contre l’alcoolisme, régulièrement déclarées depuis au moins cinq ans à la date des faits, peuvent exercer les droits reconnus à la partie civile pour les infractions prévues au présent titre.

Peuvent exercer les mêmes droits les associations de consommateurs mentionnées à l’article L. 421-1 du code de la consommation pour les infractions prévues au chapitre Ier du présent titre ainsi que les associations familiales mentionnées aux articles L. 211-1 et L. 211-2 du code de l’action sociale et des familles pour les infractions prévues aux chapitres Ier et III du présent titre.
