Article L341-12 of the French Consumer Code

If the lender or seller claims or receives, in breach of the provisions of article L. 312-25 and, for an affected credit agreement, those of article L. 312-50, from the borrower or buyer a payment in any form whatsoever, is punishable by a fine of 300,000 euros.

Le fait pour le prêteur ou le vendeur de réclamer ou de recevoir, en infraction aux dispositions de l’article L. 312-25 ainsi que, pour un contrat de crédit affecté, à celles de l’article L. 312-50, de l’emprunteur ou de l’acheteur un paiement sous quelque forme que ce soit, est puni d’une amende de 300 000 euros.
