In the event of an offence under article L. 3421-1 and articles 222-34 to 222-39 of the Criminal Code, the State representative in the département may order, for a period not exceeding three months, the closure of any hotel, furnished house, guesthouse, public house, restaurant, club, dance hall, place of entertainment or their annexes or any place open to the public or used by the public where the offence has been committed.
The Minister of the Interior may, under the same conditions, order the closure of these places for a period of up to one year; in this case, the duration of the closure ordered by the representative of the State in the département is deducted from that of the closure ordered by the Minister.
The measures provided for in the two preceding paragraphs automatically cease to have effect in the event of a decision to dismiss, acquit or acquit. The duration of the closure by the administrative authority is counted against the duration of the closure ordered by the investigating court.
