Article L3661-4 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The Lyon metropolitan authority is subject to the provisions of article L. 3312-1, with the exception of the presentation of the budget guidelines, which takes place within a period of ten weeks.

The draft budget of the local authority is prepared and presented by the President of the Lyon Metropolitan Council, who is required to communicate it to the members of the Lyon Metropolitan Council, along with the corresponding reports, at least twelve days before the opening of the first meeting devoted to examining the said budget.

The initial budget, supplementary budget and amending decisions are voted on by the Metropolitan Lyon Council.

La métropole de Lyon est soumise aux dispositions de l’article L. 3312-1, hormis pour la présentation des orientations budgétaires qui intervient dans un délai de dix semaines.

Le projet de budget de la collectivité est préparé et présenté par le président du conseil de la métropole de Lyon qui est tenu de le communiquer aux membres du conseil de la métropole de Lyon avec les rapports correspondants, douze jours au moins avant l’ouverture de la première réunion consacrée à l’examen dudit budget.

Le budget primitif, le budget supplémentaire et les décisions modificatives sont votés par le conseil de la métropole de Lyon.
