Article L412-4 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

As part of the search for breaches falling under 1° of Article L. 421-1, with a view to establishing fraud that has improperly allowed the award of financial aid paid under 2° of Article L. 111-2, the prerogatives and resources provided for in articles L. 412-1 to L. 412-3 may be implemented with persons not subject to the obligations resulting from this code when they have a business relationship with a person subject to these obligations and subject to control and this relationship is likely to have influenced the granting of aid.

The persons thus inspected are informed of the reason for the inspection and the reason for which it is extended to them.

Article L412-4

Dans le cadre de la recherche de manquements relevant du 1° de l’article L. 421-1, en vue de caractériser une fraude ayant indûment permis l’attribution d’aides financières versées en application du 2° de l’article L. 111-2, les prérogatives et moyens prévus aux articles L. 412-1 à L. 412-3 peuvent être mis en œuvre auprès des personnes non soumises aux obligations résultant du présent code lorsqu’elles sont en relation d’affaires avec une personne soumise à ces obligations et faisant l’objet d’un contrôle et que cette relation est susceptible d’avoir influé sur l’attribution de l’aide.

Les personnes ainsi contrôlées sont informées du motif du contrôle et du motif pour lequel il leur est étendu.
