Article L4132-3 of the French Labour Code

In the event of disagreement as to the reality of the danger or the way to put an end to it, in particular by stopping the work, the machine or the installation, the social and economic committee is convened as a matter of urgency, within a period not exceeding twenty-four hours.

The employer shall immediately inform the Labour Inspectorate monitoring officer referred to in Article L. 8112-1 and the Regional Health Insurance Fund prevention officer, who may attend the Social and Economic Committee meeting.

En cas de divergence sur la réalité du danger ou la façon de le faire cesser, notamment par arrêt du travail, de la machine ou de l’installation, le comité social et économique est réuni d’urgence, dans un délai n’excédant pas vingt-quatre heures.

L’employeur informe immédiatement l’agent de contrôle de l’inspection du travail mentionné à l’article L. 8112-1 et l’agent du service de prévention de la caisse régionale d’assurance maladie, qui peuvent assister à la réunion du comité social et économique.
