Article L4132-9 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The regional council is also convened at the request of:

1° The standing committee;

2° Or one third of its members on a specific agenda, for a period that may not exceed two days. The same regional councillor may not submit more than one request for a meeting per half-year.

In exceptional circumstances, regional councils may be convened by decree.

Le conseil régional est également réuni à la demande :

1° De la commission permanente ;

2° Ou du tiers de ses membres sur un ordre du jour déterminé, pour une durée qui ne peut excéder deux jours. Un même conseiller régional ne peut présenter plus d’une demande de réunion par semestre.

En cas de circonstances exceptionnelles, les conseils régionaux peuvent être réunis par décret.
