Article L422-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

A foreign national who has been admitted to reside in another Member State of the European Union and enrolled in a mobility programme in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/801 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 May 2016 may reside in France, after notification of his mobility to the competent administrative authorities, for a maximum period of twelve months, to carry out part of his studies at a higher education establishment, provided that he has sufficient resources, without the condition set out in Article L. 412-1.
He/she is authorised to engage in paid employment on an ancillary basis, up to a limit of 60% of annual working hours.

L’étranger ayant été admis au séjour dans un autre Etat membre de l’Union européenne et inscrit dans un programme de mobilité conformément à la directive (UE) 2016/801 du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 11 mai 2016 peut séjourner en France, après notification de sa mobilité aux autorités administratives compétentes, pour une durée maximale de douze mois, pour effectuer une partie de ses études au sein d’un établissement d’enseignement supérieur, à condition qu’il dispose de ressources suffisantes, sans que soit opposable la condition prévue à l’article L. 412-1.
Il est autorisé à exercer, à titre accessoire, une activité professionnelle salariée dans la limite de 60 % de la durée de travail annuelle.
