Article L4221-4 of the French Public Health Code

Nationals of a Member State of the European Union or of another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area are entitled to practise the profession of pharmacist on the basis of :

1° Evidence of formal qualifications as a pharmacist issued by one of these States in accordance with Community requirements and appearing on a list drawn up by order of the ministers responsible for higher education and health ;

2° Evidence of formal qualifications as a pharmacist awarded by one of these States in accordance with Community requirements, which is not on the list mentioned in 1°, if it is accompanied by a certificate from this State certifying that it attests to training that complies with these requirements and that it is treated by this State in the same way as the evidence of formal qualifications on this list.

Ouvre droit à l’exercice de la profession de pharmacien aux ressortissants d’un Etat membre de l’Union européenne ou d’un autre Etat partie à l’accord sur l’Espace économique européen :

1° Un titre de formation de pharmacien délivré par l’un de ces Etats conformément aux obligations communautaires et figurant sur une liste établie par arrêté des ministres chargés de l’enseignement supérieur et de la santé ;

2° Un titre de formation de pharmacien délivré par l’un de ces Etats conformément aux obligations communautaires, ne figurant pas sur la liste mentionnée au 1°, s’il est accompagné d’une attestation de cet Etat certifiant qu’il sanctionne une formation conforme à ces obligations et qu’il est assimilé, par lui, aux titres de formation figurant sur cette liste.
