Title II: Practice of the profession of pharmacist

Notwithstanding 1° of article L. 4221-1, the Minister for Health or, by delegation, the Director General of the Centre National de Gestion, after consulting the Conseil National de l’Ordre des Pharmaciens, may authorise individuals to practise pharmacy temporarily as part of specialised training in France at approved training centres for interns, provided that they meet the conditions laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat relating to the duration, procedures…

Subject to the provisions of articles L. 4221-4 and L. 4221-5, the diplomas, certificates or other evidence of formal qualifications mentioned in 1° of article L. 4221-1 are the French State diploma of doctor of pharmacy or pharmacist.

Diplomas validated by the Government are treated in the same way as a State-issued pharmacist’s diploma for the practice of pharmacy in the départements of Haut-Rhin, Bas-Rhin and Moselle.

Nationals of a Member State of the European Union or of another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area are entitled to practise the profession of pharmacist on the basis of : 1° Evidence of formal qualifications as a pharmacist issued by one of these States in accordance with Community requirements and appearing on a list drawn up by order of the ministers responsible for higher education…
