Article L4232-4 of the French Public Health Code

The central council of dispensing pharmacists comprises :

1° The presidents of the regional councils;

2° Six dispensing pharmacists and their alternates, who provide additional representation for the six regions with the largest number of pharmacists, elected by and from among the members of these regional councils in a first-past-the-post ballot;

3° A pharmacist public health inspector representing the Minister for Health in an advisory capacity;

4° A pharmacist professor or senior lecturer in pharmacy training and research units, appointed by the Minister for Health on the recommendation of the Minister for Higher Education, or his or her alternate, appointed under the same conditions.

It meets at least twice a year.

Le conseil central des pharmaciens d’officine comprend :

1° Les présidents des conseils régionaux ;

2° Six pharmaciens d’officine et leurs suppléants, qui assurent un supplément de représentation en faveur des six régions comportant le plus grand nombre de pharmaciens élus au scrutin uninominal majoritaire à un tour, par et parmi les membres de ces conseils régionaux ;

3° Un pharmacien inspecteur de santé publique représentant à titre consultatif le ministre chargé de la santé ;

4° Un professeur ou maître de conférences des unités de formation et de recherche de pharmacie, pharmacien, nommé par le ministre chargé de la santé sur proposition du ministre chargé de l’enseignement supérieur, ou son suppléant, nommé dans les mêmes conditions.

Il se réunit au moins deux fois par an.
