Article L4233-5 of the French Public Health Code

The duties of a member of the National Council, of a Central or Regional Council or of a delegation of Section E are performed on a voluntary basis.

However, the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer of a Council and the members of the National Council, a Central or Regional Council or a delegation may receive allowances, the terms and conditions of which are laid down by decree.

The Councils shall reimburse their members for their travel expenses under the conditions and within the limits set by the National Council.

The lump-sum amounts of the allowances mentioned in the second paragraph are made public by the National Council.

Les fonctions de membre du conseil national, d’un conseil central ou régional ou d’une délégation de la section E sont exercées à titre bénévole.

Toutefois, le président, le vice-président, le trésorier d’un conseil, les membres du conseil national, d’un conseil central ou régional ou d’une délégation peuvent bénéficier d’indemnités dont les modalités d’attribution sont fixées par décret.

Les conseils remboursent à leurs membres leurs frais de déplacement dans les conditions et limites fixées par le conseil national.

Les montants forfaitaires des indemnités mentionnées au deuxième alinéa sont rendus publics par le conseil national.
