The residence permit provided for in article L. 426-12 is also issued, when the child reaches the age of eighteen, to the child, who entered France as a minor, of a foreign national holding long-term resident – EU status in another European Union Member State and a temporary residence permit issued pursuant to article L. 426-11, provided that they apply within three months of their eighteenth birthday or if they are covered by the provisions of article L. 421-35. The condition set out in article L. 412-1 does not apply.
The child referred to in the first paragraph is one who meets one of the definitions given in articles L. 434-2 to L. 434-5. They must be able to prove that they have resided legally with the EU long-term resident in the other Member State and have health insurance. They must also have stable and sufficient resources or be supported by their parent who holds a temporary residence permit issued in application of article L. 426-11.
When issued in application of the first paragraph, the permit provided for in article L. 426-12 authorises the exercise of a professional activity provided that its beneficiary has been residing in France for at least one year.
