An official visual identification sign, known as the “appellation d’origine contrôlée” logo, within the meaning of Article 2 of Article 6 ter of the Paris Convention of 20 March 1883 for the Protection of Industrial Property, shall be used in any presentation of agricultural products and foodstuffs benefiting from an appellation d’origine contrôlée, with the exception of wines, spirit drinks and intermediate products.
The model of the official logo and its terms of use are determined by decree in the Conseil d’Etat, after consultation with the Institut national de l’origine et de la qualité mentioned in article L. 642-5 du code rural et de la pêche maritime.
