Article L4344-3 of the French Public Health Code

The offences referred to in articles L. 4163-3 and L. 4163-4 are applicable to speech and language therapists and orthoptists and are punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 75,000 euros.

In the event of conviction, temporary disqualification from practising the profession for a period of up to ten years may be imposed as an additional penalty by the courts or tribunals.

Les infractions mentionnées aux articles L. 4163-3 et L. 4163-4 sont applicables aux orthophonistes et orthoptistes et sont punies de deux ans d’emprisonnement et de 75000 euros d’amende.

En cas de condamnation, l’interdiction temporaire d’exercer la profession pendant une période de dix ans au plus peut être prononcée, à titre de peine complémentaire, par les cours ou tribunaux.
