Article L4424-33 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The territorial collectivity of Corsica determines, within the framework of the sustainable planning and development plan, the broad guidelines for the island’s agricultural, rural and forestry, fisheries and aquaculture development. An agreement between the State and the territorial collectivity of Corsica sets out the conditions for the implementation by the territorial collectivity of Corsica of its agricultural guidelines. To this end, it has at its disposal the Office for Agricultural and Rural Development of Corsica and the Office for Hydraulic Equipment of Corsica, public establishments governed by the articles L. 112-11 to L. 112-15 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code and over which the territorial authority exercises its power of guardianship.

An agreement between the State and the territorial collectivity of Corsica sets out the conditions for the implementation of forestry policy in Corsica.

The Office du développement agricole et rural de Corse and the Office d’équipement hydraulique de Corse cease to exist when the territorial collectivity of Corsica takes over the exercise of their missions.

La collectivité territoriale de Corse détermine, dans le cadre du plan d’aménagement et de développement durable, les grandes orientations du développement agricole, rural et forestier, de la pêche et de l’aquaculture de l’île. Une convention passée entre l’Etat et la collectivité territoriale de Corse prévoit les conditions de mise en oeuvre par la collectivité territoriale de Corse de ses orientations dans le domaine agricole. A cette fin, elle dispose de l’office du développement agricole et rural de Corse et de l’office d’équipement hydraulique de Corse, établissements publics régis par les articles L. 112-11 à L. 112-15 du code rural et de la pêche maritime et sur lesquels la collectivité territoriale exerce son pouvoir de tutelle.

Une convention passée entre l’Etat et la collectivité territoriale de Corse prévoit les conditions de mise en oeuvre en Corse de la politique forestière.

L’office du développement agricole et rural de Corse et l’office d’équipement hydraulique de Corse cessent d’exister lorsque la collectivité territoriale de Corse reprend l’exercice de leurs missions.
