Article L4424-5 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

On a proposal from the Executive Council, which obtains the opinion of the Corsican Economic, Social, Environmental and Cultural Council, the Assembly determines the complementary educational activities that the territorial collectivity of Corsica organises.

The Assembly adopts, under the same conditions, a plan for the development of the teaching of the Corsican language and culture, the terms of application of which are the subject of an agreement concluded between the territorial collectivity of Corsica and the State.

This agreement provides for the necessary accompanying measures, and in particular those relating to the initial and in-service training of teachers.

Sur proposition du conseil exécutif, qui recueille l’avis du conseil économique, social, environnemental et culturel de Corse, l’Assemblée détermine les activités éducatives complémentaires que la collectivité territoriale de Corse organise.

L’Assemblée adopte, dans les mêmes conditions, un plan de développement de l’enseignement de la langue et de la culture corses, dont les modalités d’application font l’objet d’une convention conclue entre la collectivité territoriale de Corse et l’Etat.

Cette convention prévoit les mesures d’accompagnement nécessaires, et notamment celles relatives à la formation initiale et à la formation continue des enseignants.
