Article L4424-6 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The territorial collectivity of Corsica, after consulting the economic, social, environmental and cultural council of Corsica, shall conclude special agreements with public companies in the audiovisual sector that have establishments in Corsica with a view to promoting the production of television and radio programmes with the aim of developing the Corsican language and culture and intended to be broadcast on the territory of Corsica.

It may also, with the help of the State, encourage initiatives and promote actions in the fields of culture and communication with all public or private persons who are nationals of the Member States of the European Union and of its Mediterranean environment within the framework of decentralised cooperation.

Article L4424-6

La collectivité territoriale de Corse, après consultation du conseil économique, social, environnemental et culturel de Corse, conclut avec les sociétés publiques du secteur audiovisuel qui ont des établissements en Corse des conventions particulières en vue de promouvoir la réalisation de programmes de télévision et de radiodiffusion ayant pour objet le développement de la langue et de la culture corses et destinés à être diffusés sur le territoire de la Corse.

Elle pourra également, avec l’aide de l’Etat, favoriser des initiatives et promouvoir des actions dans les domaines de la culture et de la communication avec toutes personnes publiques ou privées ressortissantes des Etats membres de l’Union européenne et de son environnement méditerranéen dans le cadre de la coopération décentralisée.
