Within the Conseil d’Orientation des Conditions de Travail, the Comité National de Prévention et de Santé au Travail is made up of representatives of the State, the Caisse Nationale de l’Assurance Maladie, the Caisse Centrale de la Mutualité Sociale Agricole, representative employers’ organisations at national and cross-industry level and representative employees’ trade unions at national and cross-industry level.
The committee’s tasks include:
1° Participating in drawing up the occupational health plan, for which it proposes guidelines to the Minister responsible for labour;
2° Participating in drawing up public policies on occupational health and coordinating the players involved in these areas;
3° Defining the list and implementation procedures for the core set of services on occupational risk prevention, individual monitoring of workers and prevention of occupational deintegration provided for in article L. 4622-9-1, and to help define the indicators for assessing the quality of this core set of services;
4° To propose the reference systems and principles guiding the preparation of the specifications for certification of inter-company occupational health and prevention services under the conditions provided for in Article L. 4622-9-3;
5° Determining the procedures for implementing and the conditions under which the prevention passport provided for in Article L. 4141-5 is made available to employers, and monitoring the deployment of this passport.
In order to carry out the tasks provided for in 3° to 5° of this article, the decisions are adopted solely by the representatives of the employers’ professional organisations and the employees’ trade union organisations mentioned in the first paragraph, under conditions defined by regulation.
A decree in the Conseil d’Etat shall determine the tasks, composition, organisation and operation of the National Occupational Health and Prevention Committee.
