Article L4823-1 of the French Labour Code

In Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Mayotte, La Réunion, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, the employees mentioned in article L. 4644-1 are also responsible for providing information on the prevention of natural risks, mentioned in I of article L. 562-1 of the Environment Code, to which workers are exposed in their workplace.

The employee(s) thus designated by the employer receive training in the prevention of natural hazards.

In addition to the measures provided for in the third and penultimate paragraphs of I of article L. 4644-1 of this code, the employer may apply to the skills operators defined in article L. 6332-1 for funding for this training, in accordance with the terms and conditions for funding training initiatives applicable to them.

A decree of the Conseil d’Etat shall define the terms and conditions for the application of this article.

En Guadeloupe, en Guyane, en Martinique, à Mayotte, à La Réunion, à Saint-Barthélemy, à Saint-Martin et à Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, les salariés mentionnés à l’article L. 4644-1 sont également chargés de l’information sur la prévention des risques naturels, mentionnés au I de l’article L. 562-1 du code de l’environnement, auxquels sont exposés les travailleurs sur leur lieu de travail.

Le ou les salariés ainsi désignés par l’employeur bénéficient d’une formation sur la prévention des risques naturels.

Outre les dispositifs prévus aux troisième et avant-dernier alinéas du I de l’article L. 4644-1 du présent code, l’employeur peut faire une demande de financement de cette formation aux opérateurs de compétences définis à l’article L. 6332-1, selon les modalités de prise en charge des actions de formation qui leur sont applicables.

Un décret en Conseil d’Etat définit les modalités d’application du présent article.
