Article L5122-2 of the French Public Health Code

The advertising defined in article L. 5122-1 must not be misleading or undermine the protection of public health. It must present the medicinal product or product objectively and encourage its proper use.

It must comply with the provisions of the marketing authorisation and the therapeutic strategies recommended by the French National Authority for Health.

La publicité définie à l’article L. 5122-1 ne doit pas être trompeuse ni porter atteinte à la protection de la santé publique. Elle doit présenter le médicament ou produit de façon objective et favoriser son bon usage.

Elle doit respecter les dispositions de l’autorisation de mise sur le marché ainsi que les stratégies thérapeutiques recommandées par la Haute Autorité de santé.
