Article L5127-5 of the French Public Health Code

The inspectors referred to in article L. 5127-1 may not engage in any other professional activity, unless it is carried out exclusively in a health establishment. However, they may belong to the teaching staff of medical and pharmaceutical training and research units.

University professors and lecturers, who belong to the body of public health inspecting pharmacists, are governed, as regards this combination of functions, by the provisions applicable to teachers in pharmacy-hospital practitioner training and research units.

A decree in the Conseil d’Etat will determine any necessary adaptations to these regulations.
