Article L514-4 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The decrees mentioned in article L. 514-3 set the rules according to which the surpluses arising at the end of the financial year and the bonuses acquired by prescription after realisation of pledges are allocated to the funds of the caisses. If these surpluses and bonuses are not used in full for this purpose, the remainder is allocated to other social welfare organisations.

Les décrets mentionnés à l’article L. 514-3 fixent les règles suivant lesquelles les excédents apparaissant en fin d’exercice ainsi que les bonis acquis par prescription après réalisation de gages sont affectés à la dotation des caisses. Si ces excédents et bonis ne sont pas intégralement utilisés à cette fin, le reliquat en est attribué à d’autres organismes d’aide sociale.
