Article L521-5 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When the administrative authority considers that the examination of an application for asylum falls within the jurisdiction of another State which it intends to request, the provisions of Title VII shall apply.

Lorsque l’autorité administrative estime que l’examen d’une demande d’asile relève de la compétence d’un autre Etat qu’elle entend requérir, il est fait application des dispositions du titre VII.
