Article L562-3-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The Minister for the Economy, in conjunction with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, shall draw up a list of resolutions adopted under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter on the basis of which designated persons and entities shall be frozen without delay in accordance with the procedures set out in the second and third paragraphs.

The funds and economic resources of the natural or legal persons or of any other entity designated on the basis of these resolutions are frozen as from the publication by the Minister responsible for the economy of the identification details of these persons or entities and under the conditions mentioned in the second paragraph of Article L. 562-9.

These funds and resources are frozen for a period of ten working days, or, if this occurs before the end of this period, until the entry into force of the European implementing regulation making the designations mentioned in the first paragraph applicable.

Article L562-3-1

Le ministre chargé de l’économie arrête, conjointement avec le ministre des affaires étrangères, la liste des résolutions adoptées dans le cadre du chapitre VII de la charte des Nations Unies sur le fondement desquelles les personnes et entités désignées font l’objet d’un gel sans délai selon les modalités prévues aux deuxième et troisième alinéas.

Les fonds et ressources économiques des personnes physiques ou morales ou de toute autre entité désignées sur le fondement de ces résolutions sont gelés à compter de la publication par le ministre chargé de l’économie des éléments d’identification de ces personnes ou entités et dans les conditions mentionnées au second alinéa de l’article L. 562-9.

Ces fonds et ressources sont gelés pour une période de dix jours ouvrables, ou, si elle intervient avant le terme de cette période, jusqu’à l’entrée en vigueur du règlement européen d’exécution rendant applicables les désignations mentionnées au premier alinéa.
