Article L573-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When the examination of the asylum application falls within the jurisdiction of another European State, the accommodation facilities mentioned in Article L. 552-1 receive asylum seekers until they are transferred. Their mission ends on the date of the actual transfer to this State.

Lorsque l’examen de la demande d’asile relève de la compétence d’un autre Etat européen, les lieux d’hébergement mentionnés à l’article L. 552-1 accueillent les demandeurs d’asile jusqu’à leur transfert. Leur mission prend fin à la date du transfert effectif vers cet Etat.
