The role of the Regional Employment, Vocational Training and Guidance Committee is to ensure coordination between those involved in guidance, vocational training and employment policies and the consistency of training programmes in the region.
It comprises the President of the Regional Council, representatives of the region or, in Corsica, the President of the Executive Council and councillors to the Assembly of Corsica elected from among its members, representatives of the State in the region or, in Corsica, in the local authority, and representatives of employees’ trade unions and employers’ professional organisations representative at national and cross-industry or multi-professional level, or interested parties, and consular chambers, as well as, in an advisory capacity, representatives of the main operators in the field of employment, vocational guidance and training and persons qualified in the field of ecological transition. The principle of parity between men and women must be respected for each institution and organisation, as well as for the appointment of persons qualified in the field of ecological transition.
It is chaired jointly by the president of the regional council and the representative of the State in the region or, in Corsica, by the president of the executive council and the representative of the State in the Corsican collectivity. The vice-presidency is held by a representative of the employers’ professional organisations and a representative of the employees’ trade union organisations.
It has a bureau, made up of representatives of the State, the region or, in Corsica, the local authority of Corsica, regional representatives of trade union organisations for employees and professional employers’ organisations representative at national and cross-industry level.
It also has a committee responsible for consultation on employment policies in the region, which coordinates the players in the public employment service defined in article L. 5311-1 in accordance with the strategy set out in article L. 6123-4-1.
The Board also issues the opinion provided for in the fifth paragraph of Article L. 6111-6.
A Conseil d’Etat decree specifies the composition, role and operation of the Board.
